Yoshitoshi and Space Miami proudly present their new compilation mixed by the Terrace King, Cedric Gervais. This 22-track set is filled with 2008’s new and unreleased Yoshitoshi, YO! and Shinichi releases – many of which were pounding the system at this year’s Winter Music Conference, and which will go on to soundtrack the better side of La Isla Blanca this summer. Yoshitoshi and its imprint cousins are some of the few labels that inspire an almost religious fervour amongst electronic music fans. Their respective pedigrees are maintained via the exceptional A&R skills of Sharam, who after a decade and more of international success, Grammy Awards, and more accolades than we could mention as one half of Deep Dish, has now become one of the hottest solo stars in dance music circa 2008 AD (his ‘Get Wild’ track being Pete Tong’s Miami Essential New Tune).

The pair personally hand pick each track for release before assembling a mix package that often becomes the talk of web forums the world over. Tracks and remixes included here take in Sharam, D Formation, Meck, George Morel & SPJ, Brother Brown, Patch Park, DJ Simi & Masterkeys, and many more.

For ‘Yoshitoshi Space Miami Terrace’, Cedric’s woven the above cuts and more into a non-stop journey through the early hours of the morning, and if there’s one person that can convey the sheer magic of a night spent on the world’s best club terrace, then it’s him. During his residency Cedric’s played on the main floor with Deep Dish, Roger Sanchez, Erick Morillo, Sander Kleinenberg, and many more, and every Sunday morning he heads to the Terrace at 5am for his own special sets that last well into the afternoon.

On the production tip, Cedric has worked with top electronic and rock talents ranging from Peter Rauhoufer to Dirty Vegas to Second Sun. Along with sometime production partner Dallas Austin they created distinct sounds for Duran Duran’s ‘Want You More’ plus they remixed the track. After hearing him in Miami, Lenny Kravitz clocked his skills and asked Cedric to remix two of his songs, ‘Believe In Me’ and ‘Stillness of the Heart’.
