The new boy on the console skating block, EA Skate has arrived to challenge the veteran Tony Hawk series for the crown of best street sports game. Not an easy task, as Mr. Hawk already has eight superb sidewalk surfing games under his belt, but this upstart manages to achieve an incredible amount and improve the genre in many ways. The inclusion of a clever new control system results in a game that is slightly harder in the early stages, but all the more rewarding when you manage to pull off a proper trick.
