Spiderman: Friend or Foe Review (PS2, Wii, Xbox 360)
3.5/5
review by: Gaz Deaves

The red suited web slinger makes a welcome return to consoles in this departure from the more traditional videogame cash-in. This latest Spidey outing sees our hero teaming up with former villains to save the world, and offers a decidedly liberal take on the source material. The storyline and dialogue are infused with a wry, geeky sense of humour that strikes a pleasing balance between comic book parody and outright spoof, and works well for the most part.

The gameplay is less strong than the comedy elements, but gamers with friends won’t mind, as the two-player co-op mode goes a long way toward excusing the lack of depth. A fun diversion for two players, but not worth the price of admission if you’re playing alone.
