Disney Fairies (DS)
review by: Raj Gill
My daughter is five, and she absolutely loved this game. For our Nintendo she only has a few games and they are unisex as she shares them with her younger brother. This is the first game she has had purely for girls, and she couldn’t get enough of it. Tinkerbell is one of her favourite Disney characters and the animations on this are fab. She managed her way round the game with surprising ease, and found it difficult to put it down. To the point where we actually had to start giving her time outs on the DS.
There were so many different things she could do with the game, each time she switched it on, she found new things. One of her favourites was changing Tinkerbell’s outfit, and making accessories. It’s such a girly girl game that it was nice for her to enjoy it on her own without her brother’s input. She also enjoyed showing it off to our niece, and together they discovered that you can get Tinkerbell to tell you your fortune, which they both found quite fascinating!
What was especially outstanding was the graphics. It’s so movie-like and as we have seen the movie several times, she could identify with the game even more. It does get more difficult as the game goes on, but she had our niece to help her out with the trickier parts.
All in all Disney Fairies was a winner in our house, although her brother wasn’t too pleased as she was hogging the Nintendo for much longer than he liked!! |
